Reporting to the VP Talent Acquisition, the Senior Talent Acquisition Director: Talent Scouting, Senior and Critical Hiring will lead a group of executive search experts dedicated to building robust talent pipelines and attracting top-tier senior talent for our business's most critical roles. This is your opportunity to take our talent acquisition efforts to new heights!You will expand our innovative approach to encompass hard-to-fill and strategically significant capabilities. Collaborating with our HR Leadership Team and cross-functional teams, you will identify focus areas and orchestrate our talent acquisition initiatives globally. But that's not all – the most thrilling aspect of this position is driving the case for internal scouting here at AstraZeneca. We want to ensure that we improve opportunities and bring the best talents from within our own workforce.
This role has a global remit leading and motivating a team of direct reports. The role can be based in UK/US/Sweden from one of our strategic centres.
Key Accountabilities:
You will possess a visionary attitude and can smoothly synthesize and engage with business leaders, HR executives, and the Talent Acquisition Leadership Team. Your ability to bring new thinking and innovative ideas around digital AI technologies and trends will play a pivotal role in the next evolution of our talent acquisition strategy.
Execution is key, and you will be responsible for building a strategic roadmap and gaining buy-in from stakeholders to prioritize and drive our talent acquisition initiatives forward. Your exceptional communication and influencing skills will enable you to engage and inspire individuals at all levels, including C-suite executives, HR leaders, Talent Acquisition Leadership Team, and business leaders.
To be successful in this role you will be:
- Experience in a global organisation with Talent Acquisition expertise in executive and sourcing - building strategy, execution & delivery (Biopharmaceutical experience would be a benefit but not essential)
- An inspirational and inclusive leader who can lead strong leaders & teams with a focus on developing talent
- A strong influencer and a trusted business partner
- Highly skilled in implementing new programmes/projects, from design to rollout, with a strong design thinking methodology
- Proven track record in setting and leading priorities, resources, performance targets and project initiatives in a global and regional environment
- An expert in data/evidence-based solutions
- You should be qualified to Degree level or equivalent experience
- A curious innovator with insights on the latest recruitment/research/executive hiring & digital technology trends
In addition to the above, you’ll need a strong and varied HR background, enabling you to effectively influence senior levels and engage others around a shared vision. Your execution skills should have maximum impact on business outcomes, resulting in tangible and measurable results.
