Your responsibilities
As a Junior QA you will join the Patch Management team in Krakow. Our main responsibility is to check applicability of third-party security updates to Network Control systems and provide risk mitigation recommendations to HITACHI ENERGY customers. One of yours the tasks will be to execute manual test cases on our systems. You will be also involved in part of our administration roles as patch installation. If you are just starting your adventure with IT, want to retrain or just improve your skills, we are waiting for you.
- Verify test environments (Windows, Linux) configuration.
- Coordinate patch installation (WSUS, Oracle, Red Hat).
- Execute manual regression test cases.
- Create test reports.
- Cooperate with other teams (USA/Sweden).
- Share your experience and skills with other team members.
Your background
- Basic administration knowledge of Microsoft Products (Active Directory, WSUS).
- Basic administration knowledge of Java/Oracle (Patch installation).
- Basic programming skills (e.g., bash, python, Power Shell).
- Basic knowledge of Linux (Red Hat preferred).
- Understanding of testing life cycle and QA practices.
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel).
- Well organized.
- Good analytical skills and great attention to details.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
