As part of the Inclusive Communities team, the Youth Activities Support Officer is responsible for supporting the delivery of the Mondo Lounge Youth Space Program, including the Mondo Lounge School Holiday Program.

As part of the Inclusive Communities team, the Youth Activities Support Officer is responsible for supporting the delivery of the Mondo Lounge Youth Space Program, including the Mondo Lounge School Holiday Program.
Responsibilities include:
- Support the Youth Development team to deliver inclusive activities and events within the Mount Alexander Shire for young people aged 12-25 years.
- Assist the Youth Activities Officer to plan and deliver the Mondo Lounge Youth Space Program, including the Mondo Lounge School Holiday Program.
- Assist with set up and end of activity duties, including clean up, food preparation and supervision of program participants as required.
- Assist with logistical arrangements for events and activities, including the physical moving and lifting of furniture and equipment as required and in accordance with safe manual handling and occupational health and safety practices.
- Promote activities on social media and Council’s youth website.
- Perform general administrative duties as required. 22
To be successful in this role you will have:
- The ability to build positive relationships with young people.
- Experience in facilitating groups, programs or activities.
- A Working with Children’s Check.
- Sound understanding of Child Safe Standards.
- Proficiency in using a range of social media platforms and website management.
- Availability to work Wednesdays and Fridays from 2pm to 7pm during school terms
- Availability to work flexible hours during school holidays
