Purpose of the position is to assist the MNCH unit in supporting the Balochistan Provincial department of Health and Partners in of institutionalization of WHO quality of care tools including MPDSR system. Under the direct supervision of the Head of Suboffice in Balochistan and the overall supervision of the HPLC Cluster Lead, the incumbent shall undertake the following duties:

  • Review the revised training materials on MPDSR system and organize trainings and refreshers for all selected facilities/districts of the province.
  • Draft a costed plan for scale up of MPDSR, TGCS and LCG implementation in coordination with Provincial Health Departments and the respective districts.
  • Support and facilitate the Provincial Health Departments in coordinating facility, district and provincial MPDSR review meetings through respective committees as per stipulated schedules and ToRs.
  • Support the relevant committee members in use of MPDSR software tool and facilitate the data management at the implementing units at the selected hospitals.
  • Present reports and lessons learned to the MPDSR Provincial Task Force, facility and district review meetings.
  • Coordinate monitoring of MPDSR system, TGCS & LCG implementation at the selected healthcare facilities.
  • Conduct analysis of data from MPDSR, TGCS & LCG implementation and generate technical reports of the reviews in coordination with the Provincial Health Departments focal persons
  • Prepare timely reports for all activities under MPDSR system, TGCS & LCG implementation (challenges, achievements, next steps) and submit regular progress reports for review by Ministry & WHO teams.
  • Any other task assigned by the supervisor/ Team Lead HPLC

Functional knowledge and skills:

  • Knowledge of the processes and approaches concerning MNCAH.
  • Knowledge of the operations of the national government and health professionals in the area of MNCAH.
  • Good skills in planning, monitoring and evaluation of interventions, and in development of locally adapted tools and instruments with experience on MNCH in emergency settings.
  • Ability to work harmoniously as a member of a team and adapt to diverse backgrounds and maintain standards of conduct

Education:

  • University degree in Medicine, Nursing or Midwifery is required. Masters in Public health will be preferable. Advanced training/ research capacity in the field of MNCAH is desirable.

Experience:

  • Five years of relevant experience. Experience of working with UN agencies/ donors in MNCH programmes will be an asset.

Languages:

  • Excellent knowledge of English and local language.
